DOLPHINS IN NYC
A seven foot ocean mammal's swimming around NYC
Less than a month ago we gave you pointers for finding coyotes in central park and eagles in harlem. Now we’re topping the combined awesomeness of both sightings by telling you where to find dolphins between Brooklyn and Manhattan. Unfortunately, there’s not much clean water for them to swim in around town, so the dolphin’s resorted to doing laps in gross old Newton Creek and along the East River, near the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
- If you see the dolphin, here are some pointers for ensuring a successful encounter.
- In other dolphin news, The Cove may finally have its big day in Japan. After the film’s Sundance success, the Japanese government is finally letting up on their systematic intimidation which first threatened the movie’s production, and then its international release.
