A Video from Our 2014 New York Photo Show

Did you miss the New York opening of our 2014 VICE Photo Show? Were you there, but continue to lie awake at night pining for that balmy July evening in Brooklyn? Well, good thing we made a video, because now you can relive it.

Did you miss the New York opening of our 2014 VICE Photo Show? Were you there, but continue to lie awake at night pining for that balmy July evening in Brooklyn? Well, good thing we made a video, because now you can relive it.

This year's Photo Issue was themed along an expanding of the term trompe l'oeil. It was filled with visual tricks, illusions, and deceptions of all kinds. The idea, as always, was to combine some of the biggest names in the business like Laurie Simmons and Cindy Sherman with new artists like Michael Marcelle, Cole Don Kelley, and Rachel Stern. We printed 1.1 million copies of it, and the issue's foreword by Bob Nickas was translated it into 8 languages for over 25 international editions of VICE. Its New York exhibition opened July 31 at Pioneer Works Center for Art and Innovation in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

The photo issue and photo show will return next July, but until then, you can keep up with VICE Photography in the newly redesigned photo section of this website.

Thanks to Marvel Vision for the sweet drone footage.
