Win Tickets to our Top Picks at the Sydney Film Festival

Iranian MCs, competitive tickling, and frat bro hazing—there's something for everybody.

A still from Kiki, one of our favourites.

The Sydney Film Festival is back next month for 12 days of movie nerd glory. Theatres all over the city are showing stacks of local and international flicks, and the festival is also putting on a bunch of talks and exhibitions from filmmakers and critics.

This year's program is packed with good stuff—choosing between a choc top and popcorn is only the first of many difficult decisions you'll have to make. There are hundreds of movies to choose from, and they're screening at venues all over the city.

To lessen the pain, we've narrowed the schedule down to a list of must-sees. Highlights include a documentary about a ballsy Iranian teenager trying to forge a rap career, a disturbing insight into the weird and wacky world of competitive endurance tickling, and an exploration of college frat bro hazing culture starring a former Jonas Brother. So, something for everybody.
