Most of us Canadians have been disappointed with our bleak Netflix selection for years since it pales in comparison to other countries like the US. And when Netflix banned users from using VPNs to access worldwide Netflix libraries earlier this year, they deprived us of any hope to watch sacred titles like Bob's Burgers, 30 Rock, or Inglorious Basterds in Canada, at least on Netflix.

Now, a new study confirms our Netflix woes, which reveals that Canada has a way smaller selection than a lot of countries.

AllFlicks, a site dedicated to Netflix data, released a chart this week that shows the number of titles available in all of its 241 countries worldwide. Canada ranks 48th with 3,434 titles. Countries with a bigger selection include Panama with 3,970 titles and Haiti with 3,822.

The US tops of the list with just over 5,000 titles, while Sudan is at the bottom with 908.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Netflix has expanded the Canadian Netflix library by 11 percent since January 2014. And while Canada is not relatively low in the global list, the company does have rights to a whopping 13,612 programs worldwide. Free up the titles, Netflix. Winter is coming.
