If an entire decade could be described as a shithole, it would be the 90s. Those ten years brought us nü-metal, reality TV, Miley Cyrus, and Columbine. While that's a tough track record to look past, a new exhibition from the French photo collective Je Suis une Bande De Jeunes has managed to remind us that maybe—just maybe—there was more to the 90s than that one guy who got his dick sucked and that other guy who got his dick cut off. The show, titled Bartolomew, will be hosted in Stockholm at the Gallery Steinsland Berliner and feature work from Jason Nocito, Santiago Mostyn, Flemming Ove Bech, and Ann Woo.
The collective told us that the idea behind this exhibition is to present images that deal with adolescence and embody a 90s' vibe. The photos are bursting with flagrant sports brands, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen's boobs, grunge Sturm und Drang, Bart Simpson, and awful necklaces.
Putain, ce mecs sont trop forts!
Check out Bartolomew on March 30th, from 6 to 10 PM at the Gallery Steinsland Berliner in Stockholm. If you are not in wonderful Scandinavia, you'll have to make do with the photos below.
