To celebrate the launch of our Photo Issue in collaboration with Magnum Photos, and the opening of our 2015 Photo Show (co-curated by Magnum's Larry Towell), VICE has asked some of our favourite photography people to come together and discuss the current state of photojournalism in Canada in the age of social media.

Moderated by photographer and writer Laurence Butet-Roch, the panel will include award winning photographers Larry Towell (Magnum Photos), Aaron Vincent Elkaim (Boreal Collective), Zun Lee (zunleephoto), as well as Instagram's director of brand development Daniel Habashi.

The panelists will discuss their own practices within the shifting landscape of photojournalism in Canada, and the influence of technology and social media platforms on their work. Audience questions will be entertained by the panelists, time permitting.

Friday July 17, 2015 — Panel discussion will run from 5:30-6:30 PM. Doors at 5 PM. Gallery will be open to the general public at 7 PM. Space is very limited. Please RSVP for access.
