BLOW OUT - DRINKING GAME
As Bruno said on the Ali G show, “What is Jonathan Anton?”
Well, the answer is: a self-obsessed “macho man” who carefully rotates talking about himself, playing with women’s hair and crying. The interview with Bruno went so great that Jonathan got his own show (Blow Out, Tuesdays at 9pm) and if you want to get alcohol poisoning have a sip of beer every time he says something stupid about himself. For example, in this clip he explains how his well-rested and quiet baby doesn’t take after him because “I’m up all night and wake up screaming.” Then he’s so chuffed with his quote he turns to an obedient employee and goes, “Did you hear that?” Bottoms up!
THE TRANSCRIPT
As we begin Jonathan is talking about grandparents. You see, his parents want to look after his baby as much as possible but so do the in-laws. Of course, Jonathan wants you to know that he puts all of them in their place. Instead of listening to their pleas he tells them “No!” That’s where we begin the clip…
JONATHAN: …you know, and then me saying “NO!”
OLD LADY: You know what, you honestly get a little possessive feeling- [here Jonathan abandons the grandparent thread and goes off on a new tangent about his baby’s sleeping patterns]
JONATHAN: He sleeps through the night
OLD LADY: Wow
JONATHAN: Wakes up, laughin’.
OLD LADY: Oh my God. You are really fortunate-
JONATHAN: Really?
OLD LADY: It’s amazing.
JONATHAN: Really is.
OLD LADY: It really is- [but he can’t hear her. He’s too busy thinking up a clever way to relate this conversation back to himself]
JONATHAN: One- it’s- it’s one thing about me he doesn’t take after. He sleeps through the night and wakes up laughing. I’m up all night and wake up screaming!
[dramatic pause]
JONATHAN: Did you hear that?
