When the Iron Curtain dropped, it revealed many things. Things like radioactive wolves, loads of bad political sculptures and the small Ukrainian woman called Nicole who looks after our photo blog (here's her arse).

In an attempt to prove to her family that she hasn’t forsaken her old country for a world of guest lists to shitty DFA parties and post-ironic footless tights, she’s curated a night of VBS films about Eastern Europe at the Old Blue Last this Sunday. Bulgarian Dirty Bombs, Radioactive Beasts of Chernobyl and Raving in the Black Sea are all showing at 6 PM at the OBL. And there’s free popcorn. And cheap booze. And Nicole. Nicole will be there making her mother proud. So go and join her.
