HAPPY CHRISTMAS FROM CRISPIN GLOVER AND MICHAEL JACKSON

To celebrate the fact that it's been snowing, and it's nearly Christmas, and to commemorate the fact that Christmas day is the six-month anniversary of Michael Jackson's death… fuck it, I just love this video.

Some things to know:

1) Crispin Glover's cover of Michael Jackson's "Ben" is from the DVD for the 2003 film Willard, a remake of the 1971 film about a strange man who lives in a big house with a load of rats.

2) Crispin Glover starred in the remake, and came up with the idea to cover the song, which was originally the theme for the 1972 sequel to the original Willard, also called Ben.

3) The song was originally written for Donny Osmond, but he was on tour, so it was offered to Jackson, and it became his first solo Number One.

4) Akon remixed it after Jackson died, and added his own backing vocals. Akon's an arsewipe.

5) A nine-year-old autistic boy sung it on America's Got Talent last year. He sounded a lot better than Akon.

6) Crispin Glover directed his video for it. He says it was inspired by a 1926 Berlin cabaret.

7) The guy with the monocle is R Lee Ermey, who stars in the Willard remake, and was Gunnery Sergeant Hartmann in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket. Prior to that, he was a US marine corps drill instructor.

8) In the video, Adolf Hitler smashes a bottle over someone's head.

9) Crispin Glover shares his birthday with Adolf Hitler (20 April).

10) Just watch it.
