Inside Syria - VBS Trailer
In March 2011, the Arab Spring hit Bashar al-Assad’s regime when the people of Syria rebelled against his government, rallying for democracy and civil rights. As a result, Syrian forces got even more brutal, killing and imprisoning thousands of civilians. The situation deteriorated when the Syrian army laid siege to the city of Jisr al-Shughour, leading thousands of citizens to cross the border to Turkey. Harboured there in tents, they’ve been living in political purgatory waiting for their voices to be heard.
Journalist Alexander Christie-Miller got inside Syria through the Turkish village of Guvecci to film Inside Syria for VBS.TV.
Inside Syria is released on VBS.TV on Monday. Watch the trailer below.
