Isolation, a film by Stuart Griffiths
Our friend Stuart Griffiths – who brought us an amazing photo story back in our Fear Issue, as well as this more recent slice of grim reality – has made a film with Luke Seomore and Joe Bull that is being shown at the Edinburgh Film Festival. Stuart, an ex-para, found himself homeless after leaving the army, a fate he shared with a quarter of all British ex-soldiers.His film explores the fate of British soldiers decommissioned through injury, many of whom feel that they have been abandoned by the institutions they sacrificed so much of themselves for. If the film is anywhere near as good and hard-hitting as his photographs, it will definitely be worth keeping an eye out for. Here is the trailer.
