LONDON - OLD BLUE LAST RELAUNCH
The Old Blue Last is celebrating getting a full live license on Friday
April 7th and we're throwing a huge party with live bands and DJs.
There'll be live sets from Vincent Vincent & The Villains, The
Rumble Stripes and a special secret guest.
For the indie gossip crowd, this is the first time that the Villains and The
Rumble Strips have ever shared a stage together. Charlie, the lead singer of
The Rumble Strips quit VVV last year to form his own group and there's been
a bit of bad blood between them since. Should be interesting.
And here's the new VVV video. It has choreographed dancing. It's like an
East London version of West Side Story but without any women. At first our
reaction was "WTF where they thinking?" but it grows on you after a while.
As well as all this, there'll be DJs from Bloc Party, Babyshambles, Har Mar, and
People Are Germs, VICE's all-girl superhero DJ team / party enthusiasts.
Here's the flyer. Designed by Jiro Bevis.
