MAKE IT MENTAL - PANICO GO TO SWEDEN
I never saw GG Allin live. I was still getting grounded and eating my boogers when he was shoving broken beer bottles up his ass. Losing it on stage was his special thing. Panico (despite looking and sounding like a million other hipster bands right now) are one of the few bands around these days who also flip out on stage. We talked to them about having fun, losing it and getting a flying foot in the face.
VICE: Why are you so crazy live?
Eduardo: Well, I’d say that if you’re an artist, you've got to be a fucked up person. No one cares about someone normal, right? When I see a band on stage I don’t want the band to look like they’re having tea or something – I wanna see extreme people!
What’s the looniest thing Panico has done?
We once did a TV show on acid. It was back in the time we lived in Chile. We were performing a playback so we didn’t have to play our instruments for real. It was great and the TV studio was full of lights, it looked really nice but our performance was a real disaster. We couldn’t stop laughing. At the end it was a very bad idea, we looked like we just had escaped from the psychiatrist. We got fired from the show.
Who’s the most deranged member of Panico?
I would say Squat, our DJ. He is very nuts. He once jumped from his hotel room straight down in the swimming pool. Just because nobody believed he could do it.
You guys sound, like, so totally insane.

If you want to see Panico live, just come to the parties in Oslo (Feb. 2) or in Stockholm (Feb. 16). Go to the events section for ticket outlets and locations.
