The story of Philip Taylor is a story of a young man given every chance by his rich, successful parents: good schooling, a fine house, encouragement to express himself artistically... and yet this gangster rapper son of an African military dictator currently on trial for murder, rape and terrorism has clearly fallen in with the wrong crowd. Last week he was arrested for attempted murder. Let's just hope his parents don't blame themselves.

His father is Charles Taylor, the Liberian warlord who dragged Naomi Campbell and the woman from Rosemary's Baby into an international court last year.
