Obama's war

Head on over to VBS today to see exclusive footage from Helmand province in southern Afghanistan, the focal point of Obama's escalation of the Afghanistan offensive, and the world's largest opium-producing region. As Shane Smith talks to British reporter Ben Anderson about his time embedded with the US Marines Echo Company, Anderson recalls the first casualty of Obama’s war, and talks through footage of fields of opium and marijuana; a near miss with a roadside bomb; and getting shot at alongside crazy marines.
"Because it’s Obama’s war, I thought people would look at this afresh and treat this as a huge story. This is the guy that is loved around the world, he’s pulling out of Iraq, he’s closing down Guantanamo, and yet he’s escalating Afghanistan," says Anderson. "The Marines themselves are painfully aware that a lot of people back home aren’t aware of what they are doing."
"America’s not at war, America’s at the mall," claims one marine. Check it all out here.
