Peter Beste is great because he really gets into his subject. Guess what a year of writing a Black Metal column has taught us? That every Norwegian guy in a satanic, nationalistic metal band’s favourite photographer is an American. They just go nuts over him. In VICE you’ve seen Peter’s photos from Gorgoroth’s infamous Polish live show (they got sued for that. But that’s not the reason Gaahl’s in jail right now) ...

We also ran his shots of Nattefrost’s bathroom and from Peter’s roof, where Windir spent a few nights. Valfar died like a year after that picture is taken.
On May 26 there’s a group exhibition opening at V1 Gallery in
Copenhagen (it’s on Absalonsgade 21b, if you for some reason haven’t
already been) that Peter is a part of.
V1 wanted us to let you know there’s an after party too. It’s at Fliesen at
Enghavevej/Enghave station, in Copenhagen, from 11PM.
