STREET ART POLITICS

By viceland

2_3You can't walk ten paces around the East End without seeing a picture of a girl hugging a Polaris missile or Ronald McDonald
humping a Dyson. The streets have been assualted by smug 'pranksters' stenciling their political concerns on buildings and scampering off
before the police can smell their
paint/pretension.

These days, what with everyone painting their political opinion, the
occasions when you actually see something artistic/funny/smart are
few and very far between. But it's easy to dismiss it all as garbage. And as we enter George Bush's last year in office, maybe it's timely to look over the best bits of graffiti his warring regime and simian visage has inspired.
