Things I Saw at the New York Art Book Fair
Last weekend's New York Art Book Fair was awesome and weird and huge and exhausting and, by the looks of Instagram, everybody and their brother was there. It took up over three floors of PS1 in Queens, as well as a sweaty tent outside in the rain. The fair was filled to the brim with interesting little books and weird objects. I noticed a trend for photographers to create books with photos of just one, specific subject, like oil stains or trash cans, which can be funny, but rarely. Somebody decided to turn off the AC, so it felt a little like a high school gym locker room, but everyone powered through. There was so much to look at and so many people to talk to (many of them Scandinavian, it seemed) that even if you were there, you probably missed a few things. Check them out above.
