VICE Gaming is once again teaming up with London gaming party organisers Joypad for an entirely excellent event, bringing great video games and awesome musical acts together in the same space. On Saturday, April 9th, we'll host the official #SUPERWAREHOUSE afterparty for London's premier indie games and PC show, EGX Rezzed.

EGX Rezzed, taking place from the 7th to the 9th of April at London's Tobacco Dock, is a celebration of innovative independent video gaming culture, mainstream success stories, and games industry evolution. The three-day event features over 160 playable titles, ranging from upcoming triple-A releases to incredible adventures created by small teams with colossal ambitions. Attendees can also learn about how to break into the games industry, dive into an assortment of VR experiences, meet developers in person, play a wide range of board games, browse a dozen metric shit-tons of attractive merch, and generally spend a day – or three – absolutely immersed in the veritable coalface of the modern games scene.

Amongst the attractions available for hands-on play this year at EGX Rezzed are the HTC Vive and the debut of Gang Beasts in VR. Also playable are Dark Souls III, the colour-based puzzler Hue, the Motherboard-previewed Californium, and many more. Full details and ticket information for EGX Rezzed can be found at the event's official website, here.

The official after party (18+, sorry underage gamers) takes place at Shoreditch Studios (37 Bateman's Row, London EC2A 3HH), from 8pm until 1am. Three rooms of entertainment will be filled with music and screens, beats and bleeps, controllers and laughter. Retro gaming fans will have their appetites sated by Joypad's formidable catalogue of older-gen machines and titles – whether your youth was shaped by the Mega Drive, SNES, PSone or N64, chances are your favourite game, however obscure, is available. There'll be over 1,000 retro games at #SUPERWAREHOUSE – use the Twitter wall to make your requests. (Yes, the Twitter wall. You'll see.)

We'll also have newer titles available – last time out, Action Henk and Enter the Gungeon showed up to titillate our sold-out crowd at Hoxton Arches. Top DJs will soundtrack the night (be sure to check @VICEGaming for announcements), and a fully loaded bar will be open until kick-out time.

We're now able to confirm the musical bill for the evening, and it's entirely ace. Check it out below:

Some of you will know that 65daysofstatic have soundtracked the forthcoming sci-fi epic No Man's Sky (we interviewed them about it here), so it just might be that a few previews from that particular set of material make an appearance, beside an array of glitched party beats. Who knows, until the night. Paul Wolinski appears courtesy of Laced Records (Soundcloud / Twitter), the London-based label behind the release of several awesome video game soundtracks, including Hotline Miami, Noct, Volume and, soon enough, No Man's Sky. Thanks to Laced for making this happen. Check out a 2015 NMS trailer soundtracked by the band below.

That all seems rad to us. And if it seems rad to you, head here to purchase your tickets to #SUPERWAREHOUSE on April 9th, the official EGX Rezzed afterparty.
