We Want to Fund Your Documentary

Send us your pitch, and if we like it we'll give you the money to turn it into a film.

Are you a young filmmaker? Do you know people who do stuff in Britain that's worth pointing a camera and a microphone at? If you do, you should tell as about it, because if we like your idea as much as you do we'll give you the money you need to turn it into a film.

The opportunity – which we're running in collaboration with Sheffield Doc Fest – would see your finished project going out to an audience of millions as part of our "Rule Britannia" series, alongside documentaries like Swansea Love Story, The British Wrestler and The Debt Collector. We're looking for ambitious, distinctive young filmmakers with great access and even better ideas, and UK-based films that don't feel like they could live anywhere other than VICE.

Have a watch of the older "Rule Britannia" documentaries to get a feel of the series, and make sure you send your pitches to docpitch@vice.com before Tuesday, the 22nd of April, because any entries made after then will miss the deadline for consideration.

Visit the VICE page on the Sheffield Doc Fest website for everything else you might need to know.
