Islamic state group has claimed responsibility
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack
ISIS claimed responsibility Tuesday for the attack on an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester Monday evening. The terrorist group released a statement in Arabic on their central news channel, praising the events in Manchester.
The news came just hours after Manchester police confirmed that children are among 22 people confirmed dead following the bombing. Two victims have been named. They are Georgina Callander, 18, and Saffie Rose Roussos, aged eight. The lone bomber carrying an improvised explosive device also died at the scene, though it remains unclear whether he was working alone.
