FEDEX PILL CARTEL BUSTED
Yesterday, Brooklyn police arrested the New York liaison for a bi-coastal pill cartel responsible for shipping over $1 million worth of Adderall and Vicodin (aka the two biggest NBD drugs after pot). Good work cleaning those streets, boys! The drug “ring” (doesn’t a circle require more than two points? Isn’t this technically a drug “line?”) consisted of two 22 year-old kids in LA, Haim Avila-Romero and Mischa Pinchuk, buying pills and FedExing them to a private postal business
owned by Pinchas Goldshtein. Goldshtein distributed the pills to wholesalers around NYC and sold them, wait for it…. on craigslist — like an idiot.
Moral: If you ever find yourself involved in a $1 million drug trafficking venture, don’t be a doofus and start selling to strangers on the Internet.
Bonus tip: As a private company, FedEx can open packages without a warrant. USPS, as a government agency, can’t.
