Afghanistan in the U.K.

Richard Robinson informs us that Afghanistan is: “just not a nice place.”

We meet some young soldiers who discuss how fair it is that British ammunition used by 2 Para in Afghanistan is of a smaller calibre than American ammunition. In perhaps the biggest understatement of 2010, craftsmen Richard Robinson informs us that Afghanistan is: “just not a nice place.” Then we leave the camp and travel to to meet Afghan veteran Richard Dare. He was a private in the Royal Anglican Regiment, made famous on British telly by soap opera actor Ross Kemp’s forays into TV war reporting. (He played surly tough guy Grant Mitchell in “Eastenders”). Richard was severely brain damaged after a mortar attack.
