POTTY TRAINED PIGS OF TAIWAN

By TIFFANY OUYANG

In America, we’re facing some huge, well established problems controlling the quality of our water. It’s one of those clusterfuck problems we’ll only solve if everyone starts doing their part, even the pigs. In an attempt to save their waters from runoff, Taiwanese officials have imposed a water pollution fee on local farmers. In response, Southern Taiwanese farmers are potty training pigs to keep their animals from releasing their bowels in nearby rivers. They’ve even created special toilets smeared with feces and urine to attact the pigs, and so far the results have been positive. With the pig population of Taiwan at six million strong, that’s a lot of poop.
