You know what you get when you stop time in animation? Art, some of which is not too shabby. And if cartoons are the mind off its leash, every single piece of work that went into making it is an agent of possibility. Put that way, the exhibition opening tonight at Synchronicity Space featuring drawings, paintings, and sculpture from animators is a quantum physics hologram. Or else it’s just a fucking cool collection of work from the likes of Bruce Bickford (his first LA gallery appearance), Adam Beckett, Sky-David, Amy Lockhart, David O’Reilly, Andy Ristaino, Screen Novelties, Will Sweeney, Jim Tozzi, JJ Villard, and Jon Vermilyea.
