Tonight at Webster hall I will be speaking at the 3rd annual
Ayahuasca Monologues. As you may or may not know I have tried an impressively large variety of psychedelics and I still hold ayahuasca at the top of the list. Nothing will get you quite as bugged-out, full-on ranting, speaking in tongues, having conversations with your hand, running through the streets, alternately crying tears of joy and transdimensional ectoplasm. Famous psychonauts
Alex Grey and
Daniel Pinchbeck will be speaking as well. (I’m speaking with Alex Grey, what is the world coming to!)

Ayahuasca is also something im very opinionated about, after spending time with it in the Amazon, Haiti, and even New York. I have come to thoroughly distrust and dislike most self proclaimed “shamans.” Also, I have never been one to embrace a drug for the simple fact that it's “natural.” This already sets me apart from most ayahuasca aficionados, but to make things worse I usually don’t even use plants, preferring instead to work exclusively with synthetic DMT and MAOIs which mimic the effects of ayahusca but can be taken in a tasteless pill form. Hey, it’s the year 2009, why be a pharmacological luddite?
I was asked to speak because Daniel Pinchbeck thought it was somehow improper for me to take Ritalin with ayahuasca as I did in
The Sapo Diaries. I argued that using Ritalin with ayahusca is perfectly fine and people should take it however they wish--I mean seriously, I was tired. Next thing I know I'm giving this talk, so if you want to learn about my special techniques for brewing ayahuasca as well as the minutiae of my most recent
pharmahuasca death trip, come check it out. Show starts at 7:30.
