powell Cozy Powell was a British drummer who played in a ton of bands, some great (Sabbath, Thin Lizzy) and some terrible (Whitesnake). Regardless of the outfit he was in, Powell's drumming was always on point. He was a human drumming machine. When he wasn't touring, he was in the studio pounding his kit on one of the 66 records he cut--and that's not counting minor contributions or sing-track guest spots.
