A take-out chicken wing box seems like a pretty smooth and clever place to stash the store's money if you're a pizza delivery guy on the way to the bank, but the plan kind of falls apart if you accidentally mix up which box the money's in and deliver $1,300 in cash to a customer.

That's what happened to a Domino's delivery driver in Berkeley, California this week, ABC7 reports—he ended up driving a box of hot wings to the bank and a guy named Mike Vegas wound up with over a grand to go along with his blue cheese dipping sauce.

Vegas had ordered a pizza and a box of wings, but decided to only eat a slice and put the rest—money and all—in the fridge while he went to work until 5 AM.

When he got home, he pulled out the wing box and found a stack of 20s. Wondering if he should return the money, Vegas did what we all do in 2015 when faced with a sensitive and complex moral dilemma—he posted on Facebook about it.

Ultimately, Vegas knew in his heart he must return the dirty pizza money to its rightful owners, regardless of what his friends on Facebook said. Domino's was so happy to see the $1,300 again they offered Vegas unlimited free pizza for a year.

Free pizza for a year is a nice offer and everything, but all Vegas ever really wanted were some chicken wings.
