Around 2 PM on Wednesday, emergency vehicles and local law enforcement converged on Townville Elementary School in Anderson County, South Carolina, to respond to reports of a shooting, the Greenville News reports.

According to the Anderson Independent Mail, at least two children were shot and have been airlifted to nearby hospitals with injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening. According to WYFF, one student was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital. The other student, along with one female teacher who was also injured—though whether she was shot is unclear—were taken to AnMed Medical Center. As of 4 PM, Ross Norton, a representative with AnMed, said the child and adult patient at AnMed were in good condition.

Authorities also investigated a scene about a mile and a half away from the school where a man was found dead. According to the Anderson County coroner, Greg Shore, this person is related to the shooter, the Washington Post reports.

Shelia Cole, of the Anderson County Sheriff's office, said authorities have a teenage suspect in custody. After the school's students were evacuated, a county SWAT inspected the school and put out the all-clear. Teachers took the school's nearly 300 preschool through sixth grade students to the nearby Oak Dale Baptist Church for safety, where parents have been arriving to pick them up.
