Robert Crumb doesn't do video interviews anymore ("it's just such a fucking production, you know?"), but he will talk over Gmail chat phone—and give out his address when promised sexy photos. If you haven't already read the VICE interview with Robert Crumb, where the fuck have you been? It's been all over the place—Gawker, The New York Observer, Gothamist, The Independent, The Atlantic… basically everyone but The New Yorker has been on it. There's a reason why. In 2009, New Yorker top dog David Remnick rejected Crumb's gay marriage cover without reason. Crumb finally spoke up in the form of a bookmark found at the Danish Pavilion of the Venice Biennale this June, which is how we tracked him down.

Here is the Crumb interview in the sort-of flesh with ArtStars*, a web TV show based in Berlin run by producer and host Nadja Sayej; camera, edit, and graphics man Haikal Noyes; creative muse Lisi Faquiri; and video editor Tristen Bakker.
