Get Off Your Computer and Come to Our Social Media Day Party on June 29

For the past four years, Mashable has been celebrating the way social media has changed our lives and our industry with Social Media Day. This year, VICE is partnering up to throw the biggest Social Media Day party yet. It will be a day-long festival...

It's only been a handful of years since Justin Timberlake and that-kid-who-isn't-Michael-Cera invented Facebook. Back then, it was still the Dark Ages of social media: Kids actually had to learn basic HTML coding if they wanted to customize their MySpace profiles. It's hard to remember back before all our social interactions took place online, but that might be because our Facebook Timelines don't go back that far.

Mashable remembers, though. For the past four years, they have been celebrating the way social media has changed our lives and our industry with Social Media Day. This year, VICE is partnering with Mashable and Milk Studios to throw the biggest Social Media Day party yet.

Our Social Media Day of Reckoning will be a day-long festival showcasing social media's impact on our world. There will be performances, installations, and Vine booths where you can shoot some selfies, as well as panels discussing the future of social marketing and what happens to our "internet-selves" after we die. There will also be a no-cash bar. The drinks will be free, but only after you hashtag a special code. As new hashtag milestones are hit at the bar throughout the day, new drinks and drink combinations will become available. Welcome to the future of getting drunk.

It's all taking place at Milk Studios in Manhattan's Meatpacking District on Saturday, June 29.
