GREATEST HITS' LSD KARAOKE MIX
The two shady-looking guys in the gowns above are Greatest Hits, an outfit we've talked about before. You'll understand then, why we aren't going to expound again on how their weird tunes are hazy and hypnagogic. No, we'll just say, in short, that they sound like they're having a blast as they sing karaoke over their own conceptual 90s pop jams while they are (most likely) very, very high.
So it's apt that when I asked them to make a mix, they took the karaoke, drugs, and art elements and created something very special. I'll let them over explain:
We could send you a track list, but it partially defeats the point. The collection of songs, arrangement, overdubbing, and subsequent mastering were all conceived and born over the course of an eight hour LSD trip. The intention, despite however misrepresenting to the music of Greatest Hits, is to impulsively enter a world of both fake and proper psychedelia: a place of surprise, awkwardness, deconstruction, and fun. As far as anyone is concerned, every song in the mix is Greatest Hits'."
