Don't know if you all've already seen this, but wow. We thought Legion of Rock Stars was just a goof, but evidently the newly reborn Van Halen have taken up the gauntlet and engineered a little "pure pleasure of performing" of their own. Eddie's guitar meltdown can be accounted for either by some fuckup with the keyboard sample or karmic penance for replacing Michael Anthony with his teenage son, but in all likelihood, that twirly business with the baton and lugging the inflatable-Stones-dick microphone the last half of the ramp over his shoulder? That was pure Dave stage magic, and we have no doubt executed perfectly according to plan. Anyways, we'd hate to bring up Van Halen without reminding you (or ourselves) of this.
