Most Saturdays and Sundays, while the rest of us are sleeping or drinking or contemplating going to the gym and then not going, VICE's weekend editor Zach Sokol is seated at his desk, resolutely steering the VICE ship. This weekend is a little different, though.Instead of cranking out hot #content about tanks and orgies and Polish rave caves, Zach will be over in Chelsea for the grand opening of his new gallery show—and he wants you all to come check it out.For the show, Zach and his art collective Eli & Sons convinced the U-HAUL office in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood to rent them an empty 1,800-square-foot storefront, and the space will be their gallery for the whole month of October.The show includes paintings by Mark Flood, sculptures by Luke Todd, an installation by long-time VICE pal Bobby Viteri, and the launch of a new cassette tape series, Quiet Time Tapes , from Eli Libman. For his part, Zach has transformed the entire upstairs of the U-HAUL space into a psychiatrist's office, where he'll be conducting interviews by appointment which will culminate in a published oral history, Fear/Frisson.The show kicks off with a grand opening on Friday, September 30, from 6 to 9 PM.
