While many around the country are grieving over Barack Obama's inevitable departure from the White House, Vice President Joe Biden might be sticking around for a few more years if Hillary Clinton wins the same residence.

According to Politico, the Democratic nominee has Biden on the top of her short list for secretary of state, should she beat Donald Trump in November.

"He'd be great, and they are spending a lot of time figuring out the best way to try to persuade him to do it if she wins," a source close to the campaign told the outlet.

Clinton's transition team apparently still hasn't officially approached Biden about the gig, but he'd clearly be a solid choice: Before serving as VP, Biden spent six terms in the Senate and chaired the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. And, with his rousing speeches about beating Donald Trump in a variety of contests, the 73-year-old certainly seems like he still has the "stamina" to do the job.
