Jaimie Warren Bepenised Her Photo from Our Photo Show

Jaimie's last VICE contribution was the final page for our annual Photo Issue, which features her dressed up as Yoda. We told her we’d send her a print if she promised to destroy it and film it for the blog. She happily obliged.

Jaimie Warren is easily one of the most original photographers alive today. We wish we could spend a long weekend tucked gently into the folds of her brain, vacationing among her cerebellum, pituitary gland, and hypothalamus, hoping to absorb at least an ounce of her creativity and weirdness.

Her last VICE contribution was the final page for our annual Photo Issue, which features her dressed up as Yoda nestled among flowers, branches, and five scantily clad ladies. The photo is actually a recreation of a photo-shopped image she found on the internet which is a recreation of an original painting made by William-Adolphe Bouguereau in 1897. We didn’t get it either, but we thought it was so brilliant we decided to include it in this year’s photo show too.

When the show came down we told Jaimie we’d send her the print if she promised to destroy it and film it for the blog. She happily obliged, and here we are today. We assumed she’d just send in a quick, funny video of herself lighting the print on fire, but it is wrong to make any assumptions about her. So, please watch and enjoy this incredibly confusing, funny, uncomfortable, entertaining two minute and 21 seconds glimpse into the brain of Jaimie Warren.
