Rumors are swirling that John Turturro, one of our greatest living actors, is about to reprise his role from one of his greatest movies. No, not MonkeyboneJesus Quintana, the unsavory bowling creep from The Big Lebowski.

According to Gothamist, Turturro is currently in New York, filming a movie called Going Places, which is apparently based on a 1974 French comedy about a couple of aimless thugs who compete to give a woman her first orgasm. It stars Turturro alongside Susan Sarandon, Bobby Cannavale, and Audrey Tautou, among others.

The movie sounds all fine and good and whatever, but it turns out there's more to it: Turturro has been seen brushing up on his bowling game in New York in his old Jesus Quintana regalia, leading people to speculate that he'll be bringing back the Lebowski character for the new movie.

Turturro has been dreaming of a Jesus spin-off for a while, and since the Coen Brothers have been too busy with the Golden Age of Hollywood to whip something up, it would make sense that Turturro would take matters into his own hands.

Some sources close to the actor and director have corroborated the rumors, though Turturro himself has yet to say anything about resurrecting Jesus.
