Every year the Melbourne Fashion Festival comes along and tells us what we should be wearing for the next few months. While this is great in theory and everything, there are some pretty fucking crazy outfits that they send onto those runways and we've always wondered whether this actually translates into real looks that real people wear in real daylight.In a bid to get to the bottom of this perplexing conundrum, we took a few of our favourite looks from last year's festival and hit the streets to see whether we could find evidence of the catwalk on the sidewalk.As you'll agree, the results are startling but what's important here is not who wears it better, but rather, the fact that people are being inspired to try something different and adding their own unique flare to the particular looks. It's fashion and it should be fun and if the festival can successfully remind us of this each year, then we must be forever grateful.The Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival starts this Sunday 15th.
