Earlier this year, Netflix dropped the sequel to 90s cornball family sitcom Full House, but instead of any kind of reinvention, Fuller House went full nostalgia and received near universally bad reviews, garnering a mere 32 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes as critics blasted it as "sugary garbage" and "faithfully as bad as the original!"But despite poor reviews, the show became the streaming giant's most-watched original show—more than double the viewership of Stranger Things—so Netflix decided to bring it back for a second season, due to drop on December 9. Earlier today, Netflix released a new trailer for the series, hinting at guest cameos from New Kids on the Block, as well as an aging Bob Saget doing the ubiquitous "trying to be hip" parent routine.At this point, the nostalgia is so deep that not even an appearance from the Olsen twins, who have reportedly moved on, could save it. The show's wholesome sitcom format seems like it's aimed at an audience that hadn't even been born yet when it went off the air more than 20 years ago.Then again, if you loved the premise, style, and cast of the original and just want more of the same, you probably won't complain too much here, either.Read: Why Do British People Love 'Friends' So Much?
