Off the Red Carpet
I live in LA, so I figured I should probably watch the Oscar's red-carpet situation in person. I strolled over to Hollywood Boulevard all easy breezy and proud of myself for having made it out of the house. I had to take the subway and everything, but apparently that wasn't good enough. That sort of dedication only gets you about three blocks from the Dolby Theatre. If you want to get all up and personal with famous people you have to line up at 6 AM with snacks and homemade signs. Me and the rest of the lazy people clung together in defeat behind a police barricade. We couldn't see shit but we can always say we went. Besides, when is the last time you saw a famous person on Hollywood Boulevard anyways?
