Hands up if you hate Christmas music. Yeah, us too. In fact, if we hear one more song with sleigh bells in it, we’re just gonna go ahead and pull a Black Christmas (the original
Canadian one, not the
remake) wherever we happen to be. Of course the only thing more painful than hearing
really, really, bad R&B versions of already really, really, bad Christmas songs is being forced to hear them at an office holiday party-you know, those workplace social events that are so brain-numbingly forced, that the best you can hope for is for unrequited office romances to explode in a messy ball of booze and regret.
Well, if you’re in Toronto this Friday, December 11th, head to Wrongbar where our buddies at
Telephone Explosion are actually having a fun holiday shindig. With
Demon's Claws,
Sun Ra Ra Ra,
Actual Water and the
Holy Cobras on the bill, everyone will be too busy dancing and getting hammered on 4-dollar tall cans to notice Robertson from accounts receivable and Peggy from reception drunkenly dry-docking on the dancefloor (omg. I totally saw that coming).
Things start at 9pm sharp and the first 50 people to pay the 10-dollar cover get a 7” (whoa, that's a lot of numbers).
