Tech Talk 5 of 5
Mark David recently found a box of old VHS tapes in his attic, mostly recordings of old cable access shows. The first of these is ‘Tech Talk’, a talk show about cutting-edge technology from 1980. Or, at least, that’s all according to Jon Benjamin, the comedian and writer who looks a hell of a lot like Tech Talk’s host. Benjamin is familiar to many in either face, voice or sense of humor, having appeared in or written for Wet Hot American Summer, Family Guy, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Human Giant, and damn near every show on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim lineup. Jon is going to deliver Mark’s tapes to us as he sees appropriate, deeming whether each is as fit for air as ‘Tech Talk’. He’s started with a show that will introduce us to a robot that believes in Jesus, the problems created by living with a dozen octogenarian men, and the freedom to make up our own minds about the Holocaust that the Internet grants us.
