The United Arab Emirates Are Heading to Mars in 2020

If you've ever seen the first class section of an Emirates Air plane, you know that probe will be traveling in style.

The United Arab Emirates announced plans today to launch a probe to Mars in five years. The unmanned probe will be analyzing the Martian atmosphere and climate so scientists can get a deeper understanding of the planet and the way Earth's climate may shift over the next few million years. The mission will be helmed by 150 top Emirati scientists. If the launch is successful in July 2020, the UAE expects the probe to reach Mars by early 2021.
