Today we continue our tour of Thurston Moore's office library on Bangs, moving on from the literary ephemera of the late 50s and 60s into the early punk days. Back before the Ramones, when it was mostly artsy poetry dames like Patti Smith and Theresa Stern (who you may remember better as the made-up female composite of Richard Hell and Tom Verlaine). On Practice Space we visit the studio of Montreal's Despised Icon, easily the worst-named band we've done since the Brutal Knights episode last week. (Get it together, Canada.) And on the old stuff docket, we've got the second part of Soft Focus's chat with Andrew WK, in preparation for next week's premiere of season two. Had we not announced that yet? I don't think we did.
