"Wait" Completes M83's Sci-Fi Music Video Trilogy [Exclusive Premiere on The Creators Project]
Early on in their existence, music videos became short narrative films, and eventually it didn’t matter if the song had any direct relation to the story, or even if the band didn’t appear in the video at all. The video became an entity unto itself, a film with its own merit. And sometimes a story is epic enough to warrant a sequel, and rarer still, a trilogy.
That’s what directorial team Fleur & Manu did for a trilogy of M83 songs off 2011’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, weaving a tale of telekinetic kids escaping from an asylum and trying to be regular kids (with superpowers) in “Midnight City,” and then battling the authorities in “Reunion.”
“Wait,” the third installment of this meticulously produced series, was brought to life with support from The Creators Project.
