Why Did Eddie Murphy Make This Terrible Reggae Music Video?

Now watch all 90 minutes of 'Beverly Hills Cop' and forget this ever happened.

Eddie Murphy has been releasing music since he stuck a few parody songs for his debut comedy record in the early 80s. The song "Boogie in Your Butt" is a solid late-night jam and his James Brown impression is classic. He's definitely not the worst actor-turned-musician out there. It wasn't a huge surprise when Murphy dropped a reggae song called "Oh Jah Jah" earlier this year and it started climbing the Billboard charts. It's pretty middle-of-the-road reggae, but the genre doesn't really allow for much variation, anyway. But what's with his new "Oh Jah Jah" video? Did he cut the thing on iMovie HD? You'd think that the man who starred in Bowfinger would know how to make a killer video. Go watch all 90 minutes of Beverly Hills Cop and forget this ever happened.
