RIP HAIR GUY
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; I come to bury Tran Van Hay, not to praise him; The hair that men style, grows after they die, The good is oft interred with their dreads.
Tran Van Hay, unofficial record holder for longest/grossest hair died yesterday at 79 in his native Vietnam. According to his obituary, the total length of his washed hair remains “unclear,” but estimates put the figure around 23 feet. Even Xie Qiuping, the official Guinness world record holder, only had 18 feet of hair. Hay’s wife claimed that her husband resisted trips to the barber because he believed cutting his hair resulted in physical illness. Evidently Hay never established a relationship between not cutting one’s hair and mental illness.
Hay’s loss will no doubt be felt around the world. He was a sensitive, brave soul living in a corrupt world his innocent heart could never fully understand. Good night sweet prince.
