Goa, a popular tourist and nightlife destination in India, plans to end its all-night dance parties with a ban on loud music after 10pm.

According to WION, the 10pm loud music ban has already been in place, but it has been ignored throughout the years.

"There is a legal ban on holding parties after 10 pm.," said Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar. "The ban will be upheld by the state government."

The reinforced ban also occurred after a top minister from Parrikar's government asked for the ban to be reinforced.

"These parties are against our culture," said Goa water resources minister Vinod Palyekar last week. "We need to stop them immediately."
