Listen. Not to put all kinds of pressure on you, but if you play some lame-ass songs like âMonster Mashâ at your Halloween party this year, expect a significant dropoff in attendance next year. People donât wanna hear the same old cliche songs year after year. (Except for the Ghostbusters theme song because that song RIPS.)If you wanna really creep the hell out of your party guests and/or trick-or-treaters this year, play this insanely weird, Halloween-themed ambient noise album from Nick Reinhart of the Sacramento band, Tera Melos, called Scary Sounds. Nick has the highest qualification one can possess for creating a Halloween album, aside from being an actual serial killer: He worked at a Party City for years. Although, that actually might lead one to become a serial killer.Amazingly, all of the creepy weirdo noises on the album was produced with a guitar. Itâs true. âEvery single sound on the recording came from a guitar, albeit a very processed guitar, but 100% guitar,â said Nick. âMy dream would be for people to play this on their porch to scare the shit out of trick or treaters.âMake Nickâs dream come true by playing Scary Sounds on your porch while kids come to ring your bell. Then, jump out from behind the bushes dressed as an irate Party City employee. Theyâll drop all their stuff and take off running. Boom, free candy.
