Welcome to Portland, Oregon: recently crowned karaoke capital of the USA by The New York Times. The rent is cheap, everyone is in a band and the unofficial slogan of the city is "Keep Portland Weird". Sounds like a lot of places I know, looks like it's full of weirdos.
